This was Fort Seward, Inc. 40th Anniversary!

REGISTRATION

Some of our goals, as a non-profit organization, is to preserve our American Pioneer family history, the history of our state of North Dakota, and to keep our fees family and group friendly, as low as possible.

Our year 2009 wagon train will be our 40th Anniversary!

  1. Registration will be limited to 120 wagon passenger seats. Registration for seating will close when the 120th wagon passenger registration is received.
  2. Acceptance will be on first come, first serve basis, by earliest Post Office postmark or time of receipt of web site or Fax Credit Card Payment and registration. Click here for all our registration options. You can register on line with Visa or Mastercard payment by click here.
  3. To register for the wagon train by mail or fax, send completed registration form with full payment of fees to the registrar or Fax your credit card payment with registration to 701-486-3354.
  4. Any registration over 120 wagon seating count, may be turned down and/or placed on a waiting list in chronological order, pending cancellations/openings received. Those placed on the waiting list will be notified by the Registrar.
  5. Final In-Camp Registration will take place on Sunday, June 21st from 2-5 P.M., at the Fort Seward Park in Jamestown, North Dakota. All participants and staff will be required to sign a release form at that time in order to participate with the wagon train. The park is located on the northwest corner of the city. Take Highway 281 north through Jamestown. The park is on the crest of the hill overlooking the city. The address is 1100 5th Street Northwest (look for signs).
  6. Be sure to visit the Fort Seward Interpretive Center for interesting history on the Fort Seward Park.
  7. Orientation will take place on Sunday, June 21st at approximately 8:00 P.M., at the Fort Seward Park. Activities will be designed to get acquainted, make staff introductions, discuss guidelines and safety, answer your questions. Please attend this meeting.
  8. On Monday, June 22nd, we will rise, eat, pack and move out on the trail.
  9. During the week we will be traveling by wagon train, each evening will be a different campsite.
  10. On Saturday, June 27th, we make our finale mileage, which may tenatively (still working on details) bring us back to Jamestown, North Dakota. After which we will have a Noon lunch together. We say our good-byes to all our new friends prior to our departures. Covered wagons, teams of horses and equipment are loaded and returned to their homes to wait until next year!

2009 REGISTRATION FEES:
  • $425.00 Adult per person 19 years of age and older.
  • $325.00 Teen per person between 13 and 18 years of age.
  • $275.00 Child per person 12 years of age and younger.
  • A 10% DISCOUNT IS GIVEN TO A GROUP OF THREE OR MORE INDIVIDUALS. THIS DISCOUNT AVAILABLE THROUGH MARCH 31st ONLY. TO QUALIFY FOR A GROUP (REGISTRATIONS OF 3 OR MORE), INDIVIDUALS MUST RETURN COMPLETED REGISTRATION FORM(S) AND REQUIRED FEES TOGETHER IN SAME ENVELOPE POSTMARKED BY March 31st, 2009.
  • Hay fee per saddle horse is included with the riders registration.
  • Membership (does not grant voting privileges) $2.00 per person and $5.00 per family. Membership is already included in registration fees. Allows non-wagon train riders to support Fort Seward, Inc. and to receive priority membership mailings.

Daily rates available, please inquire. Fort Seward, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the wagon train at any time.
